this baby can drive a john deere!
here's a video of Reese driving Mason's tractor! He surprised me one day when I had him sitting on the seat...he reached down with his foot and hit the gas! mason climbed on behind him and took control of the wheel.

Reese is walking!!
One day short of his 14 month birthday (yesterday), Reese decided it was time. "I think this walking thing is the way to go." At least that's what it looked like he was thinking. And he sure seems excited about it. He's been walking all over the place, unless he wants to go really fast, in which case he speed crawls. AND he's more interested in his shoes now (didn't really like shoes or socks before) and tries to put them on himself. So cute!!! Walking appears to be the intro for some serious climbing as well...the couch, mason's bed, duncan.
so at 14 months, Reese is walking, says ball, throw, mama, dada, dog (and woof woof), that, please, nononono, bite (like "I want a bite of anything you are eating"), nose, mouth, hat and others I can't think of at the moment. He understands many more and shakes his head "no" to most questions...especially any involving mommy putting him down! He loves Mason and requests kisses with a mmmah mmmmah. He has 12 teeth and is still working on using a fork and spoon. More pictures of that later :)
What a big transition! *sigh* My baby is growing up.

the geranium festival

On Saturday we went to McDonough's 30th annual Geranium Festival for the first time (McDonough is actually the "geranium city")...The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed perusing the little craft booths in the square downtown. Mason wasn't so crazy about the crowd but had a great time in the bounce houses. Mark your calendars for next year!
It was part of a really great weekend for all of us...the boys and I really enjoyed spending time with Daddy after two weeks of late nights at spring football practice. And Monday is upon us...how the weekends fly by!
here goes...
So I've decided to join the *revolution* and let everyone in on our day to day activities. Trivial as they may be, I know someone will enjoy the updates (Grandmas)! And thanks to my Mother's Day gift from Josh, a fabulous camera, I will try to make it a photoblog.
